The photos presented were taken during our trip to Proctors Theater and the Empire State Youth Orchestra performance of the "Wings of Fire". This trip was a culminating activity of Mrs. Markwica's and my collaboration - Careers in Music unit of study- where our 8th grade students were very fortunate to observe and interview the conductor of the Orchestra, Maestro Etienne Abelin, sharing his insights on the occupation of a conductor and his passion for music.
Our elementary students were able to see and hear the four families of the instruments of the orchestra play in the most amazing, expressive way to aid the magical Phoenix in her ability to fly.
What a wonderful experience this was for our students!
